who is elvire?
Elvire Emanuelle was born to two immigrant Haitian parents, and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She began
her journey in acting in the third grade when she took part in a small kids play at her local church. Although she was shy, she always loved the arts and to perform. During her senior year of
high school she finally mustered up the courage to join the theater group of the Boys and Girls Club.
The very next year Elvire felt encouraged to enroll as a Theater Major at Barry University. However, eventually she transferred to a different school and major, obtaining
a degree in Merchandising Fashion and Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University. While
she
spent years away from performing, did not have much experience, there was always a knocking in her heart that she belonged in acting and that she could do it.
After years of going the opposite way, in 2010 Elvire decided it was time to rededicate herself to pursuing her childhood
dream to be an actress and that this time, she was never looking back. She began training, with her acting coach Richard Zavaglia, taking a few classes at the Acting School of South Florida, and studying with other local educators.
Since she began her journey, Elvire has come a long way from the girl she once was. She's worked in all the avenues of entertainment including theater,
television, film, commercial and print. Elvire feels honored to be welcomed into the arts community, and looks forward to growing in it.
This has been a life long goal that is gradually
coming into fruition and Elvire is humbled saying, "it is nothing of myself but it is all God's
gift.”
